Ers mis Medí 'rwyf wedi bod yn gweithio gyda disgyblion yn Ysgol Aran Hall, Rhydymain. Mae‘n nhw i gyd yn fechgyn, rhai gyda anghenion dwys a chymleth. Ar adegau mae eu h'ymddygiad yn gallu bod yn heríol, er hynny mae nhw’n blant positif a brwdfrydig ac wedi ymateb mewn ffordd posifif i sawl profiad creadigol y tymor yma.
Un o’r prosiectau cyntaf oedd i greu llun o Aran Hall a'r tirlun o amgylch. Fi wnaeth y darlunio ar ford A1, gyda pob un o’r bechgyn yn cwblhau darnau mewn paent.
Mae’r llun gwreiddiol yn dangos sut oedd Aran Hall yn ymddangos yn yr Hydref. 'Roedd pawb yn hapus gyda’r canlyniad felly penderfynwyd defnyddio y cynllun ar sail cerdyn Nadolig

Since September I have been teaching Art part time at a local residential school for boys.They are pupils with particular, sometimes complex needs and pupil behaviour can sometimes be challenging. Despite this they are largely positive and likeable boys and they have responded very well to creative work this year .
One of the first projects we did was to complete a large group painting showing the school in it’s rural setting near Rhydymain. I outlined the main features and the boys took turns in painting specific parts. Some were clearly hesitant about working off an easel on such a large scale but the experience gave them confidence and the project was a great example of how the sum of the parts can be so much greater than the contribution of any one individual.
We were all pleased with the result and the original painting was used as the basis for the Christmas card shown here .
