It's hard to get everything done in the winter , days are short and there is little sun to energise the soul . My excuse for neglecting this site for so long . Work goes on with the garden sculptures and new possibilities emerge with each piece .Recently I have been developing ways of opening out the plinth and embellishing the surface . The example here was done with a chainsaw , cutting into the block on four sides to créate 4 distinct columns. The wood has then been charred and sealed . Looking forward to doing this with some more atractivo pieces of chestnut and oak and making more of the natural figuríng .
